Love Indian food but too intimidated to try and make it at home? Join Un-Plated for its first ever Virtual Kitchen Series and learn how to make popular Indian appetizers from two of the country’s top Indian chefs!
On Thursday, August 13th, Chef Heena Patel of Besharam in San Francisco and Chef K.N. Vinod of Indique and Bombay Bistro in the DMV will be joining Un-Plated’s Sabrina Medora for an evening of culinary instruction, delicious food, and intimate conversation.
Guests of this event will learn to make two popular Indian appetizer recipes. Chef Patel will be demonstrating how to make Dahi Wada—lentil fritters served with mint chutney and a cool yogurt sauce. Chef Vinod will be demonstrating how to make Papri Chaat—an street food favorite made with chickpeas, potatoes, and chutney. Sommelier Erlinda Doherty will be present to talk to our guests about how to pair wines with Indian flavors and, specifically, for these two dishes.
The price of the ticket includes access to the live-streaming event, copies of the recipes with chefs’ notes, and a list of recommended wine pairings for the evening. As an added bonus, those who live in the San Francisco or DMV area will receive a 10% discount for a takeaway meal from the participants restaurants.
